東日本大震災から15年を数える祈り　〜詩編23編によせて〜

 

主しゅは私わたくしたちの羊飼ひつじかい。 あの日ひも、そして今日きょうも。

主しゅよ、15年ねんが経ねんちました。

失うしなわれた命いのちを想おもう時とき、胸むねの奥おくに痛いたみが走はしります。

揺ゆれれ動うごく大地だいち、叫さけび声こえ、押おし寄よせる波なみ、

そして倒壊とうかいした家々いえいえを、私わたくしたちは覚おぼえています。

命いのちを失うしなった人々ひとびと、 彼かれらのコミュニティ、そして故郷ふるさとと呼よんでいた場所ばしょを、

私わたくしたちは覚おぼえています。

あなたは、言葉ことばにならない嘆なげきの中なかで、私わたくしたちと共ともに立たち、

涙なみだを流ながしながらも、私わたくしたちと共ともに歩あゆんでくださいました。

主しゅよ、あなたは傷きずつき、疲つかれ果はてた人々ひとびとを、

緑みどりの牧草地ぼくそうちと憩いこいいの水みずへと導みちびいてくださいます。

あなたは私わたくしたちの魂たましいを癒いやし、 正ただしい道みちへと導みちびいてくださいます。

 

しかし、主しゅよ、この国くにをご覧らんください。

原子力発電所げんしりょくはつでんしょの事故じこという、 取とり返かえしのつかない痛いたみと教訓きょうくんを経験けいけんしながら、

すでに原発げんぱつの再稼働さいかどうを選えらび取とっている現実げんじつを。

記憶きおくがいかに容易よういに薄うすれていくかを、私わたくしたちは知しっています。

かつての痛いたみと悲かなしみが風化ふうかし、 あの日ひを知しらない世代せだいが増ふえています。

私わたくしたちに、忘わすれない心こころ、

利益りえきや効率こうりつよりも命いのちを守ることを選えらぶ正ただしい心こころを与あたえてください。

 

死しの陰かげの谷たにを歩あゆむときも、私わたくしたちは恐おそれません。

あなたは私わたくしたちと共ともにいてくださるからです。

あなたの御手みてによって、 悲かなしむ者ものを支ささえ、 疲つかれた者ものに力ちからを与あたえてください。

あなたは、たとえ苦くるしみの中なかにあっても、

私わたくしたちに必要ひつようなものを備そなえてくださいます。

私わたくしたちの心こころをあなたの平安へいあんで満みたしてください。

主しゅよ、 あなたの慈いつくしみと憐あわれみが、 私わたくしたちの生涯しょうがいに渡わたり、続つづきますように。

どこにいても、 あなたの御名みなに留とどまり、 希望きぼうをしっかりと持もち、

信頼しんらいをもって歩あゆむことができるように助たすけてください。

言葉ことばにできないことをすべてあなたに委ゆだね、

主しゅイエス・キリストの御名みなによってこの祈いのりを捧ささげます。

Prayer on the Fifteenth Anniversary of the

Great East Japan Earthquake

 

(Inspired by Psalm 23 )

 

The Lord is our shepherd,
on that day, and even today.

O Lord, fifteen years have passed.
When we remember the lives that were lost,
the pain still dwells deep within our hearts.
We remember the trembling earth, the cries,
the rushing waves, and the collapsed homes.
We remember those who lost their lives,
their communities, and the places they once called home.
You stood with us in our wordless lament,
and walked with us, even as we wept.

 

O Lord,
you lead the wounded and the weary
to green pastures and to still waters.
You heal our souls
and guide us along the right paths.

Yet, O Lord, look upon this nation.
Though we have experienced the irreversible pain
and hard lessons of a nuclear power plant accident,
we see the reality that the restart of nuclear power
has already been chosen.

We know how easily memory fades.

Past pain and sorrow grow distant,
and more people now live without knowing that day.
Grant us hearts that do not forget,
hearts that choose the protection of life
over profit and efficiency.

 

Even when we walk through the valley
of the shadow of death,
we will not fear,
for you are with us.
By your hand,
support those who mourn
and give strength to the weary.
Even in the midst of hardship,
you provide what we need.
Fill our hearts with your peace.

 

O Lord,
may your lovingkindness and mercy
follow us all the days of our lives.
Wherever we may be,
help us to remain in your name,
to hold fast to hope,
and to walk forward in trust.
We entrust to you all that cannot be put into words,
and we offer this prayer
in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
